Budweiser
Inducted in 1996

The Budweiser tradition of the total marketing concept remains a constant.

Call it a vision. A drive for perfection. For Adolphus Busch, there was only one beer. His beer. And he was determined that every man or woman making a bar call would utter the word he longed to hear echo throughout the country - Budweiser.

His dream of Anheuser-Busch producing the first truly national beer brand came true - Budweiser reigns as the top-selling beer in the world, a position it has enjoyed for 39 consecutive years. Today, the Budweiser outsells the total barrelage of the next largest U.S. brewer. One out of every five beers sold today in the U.S. is a Budweiser.

From production of the first bottle in 1876, Budweiser has never gone out of style. Constant attention to Budweiser's time-honored quality and classic taste, combined with imaginative, innovative marketing and promotional support, has helped Bud stand the test of time unlike any other beer brand in the world market today.

The Budweiser tradition of the total, marketing concept remains a constant. Outside the brewing arena, in areas including sports marketing and entertainment, Budweiser reigns supreme. The world-famous Budweiser logo is a familiar sight on racing machines, in stadiums and arenas, on the concert stage and more. Today, Budweiser is at home in cyberspace -- at budweiser.com -- just as it has been in the hands of millions of American consumers for 120 years.

On the advertising front, Budweiser campaigns have long set a lofty standard. The Budweiser Clydesdales, for example, are one of the most widely recognized product symbols in the world. Budweiser is also recognized for one of the most popular and enduring advertising slogans ever: This Bud's For You.

Under the current direction of August Busch IV, Budweiser advertising has taken risks and reaped rewards. USA Today and the Wall Street journal both named Budweiser as being the most popular among all television advertising today.

From production of the first bottle in 1876, Budweiser has stood the test of time unlike any other beer brand in the world. Throughout the years, whatever the era or ad campaign, the consistently crisp, classic taste of Budweiser continues to make it the world's favorite beer. The King of Beers. And a genuine American classic.
